Hey, I tried this tutorial on my new RHEL 6 install but it did not work (I’m guessing because I used EFI boot instead of BIOS); do you know how to install the driver for an EFI boot system?

You should use GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX instead of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT otherwise you’ll miss the console when you boot in rescue ( single user ) mode via a grub entry.

Hello.
You can not use nodogsplash with radius (as far as I know). You are probably looking for coova-chilli (http://coova.org/CoovaChilli) or chillispot (http://www.chillispot.info/). The second one is no longer developed.
I’m sure there are much more solutions, but I was playing only with coova-chilli long time ago.

Petr,

This is great! I have installed nodogsplash just in the past few days.
It works. But I can not find a tutorial on how to add authentication other than by hard-coding a username and password into the nodogsplash.conf.
How would I integrate with a radius server or something even simpler? Any ideas where to start?

Hi, this is my first foray into a hotspot/radius though I’m “reasonable” with linux (been a unix/linux admin for longer than I care to remember 8-).

Having a problem with the radius server… daloradius is telling me that radius is disabled and the radius log file is showing: -

I am dumbing down your configuration a bit as I am a newbie at this. I am removing the open wifi stuff for now (although a guest network is a really neat idea that I want to implement later) but can you tell me what is in your /etc/dnsmasq.script?

And thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Have you thought of putting your config on the openwrt forum or wiki? It is really good stuff for us learners.
